• Continue major capital campaign and grant writing efforts to undertake restoration of all exterior and interior elements and systems of the Dougherty/Rushmore House including foundation and floor beams, upper beams, framing, chimney, front porch, siding and trim replacement and repair, handicap ramp, reconditioning of windows, painting, restroom, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems
• Maintain Heritage trail and install pathway trail signs
• Reshingle summer kitchen/carriage shed with historically correct cedar shingles
• Continue work on summer kitchen/carriage shed beginning with south ridge beam and other stabilization needs
• Rebuild mullions and replace windows in main house if Quester Wequetong #781 receives a grant which they have written
• Devise strategy to expand volunteer base for summer projects
• Hold annual spring cleanup of property in May, 2012
• Participate with Old Mission Historical Society in Log Cabin Days the last Sunday of June opening the Dougherty Mission House, Ice House, Outhouse, walking trail and possibly the carriage house
• Hold annual fundraiser and auctions, hopefully in August
• Submit to the Michigan Historical Marker Program an application to create an historical marker for the Dougherty Mission House. Prior to submission, authorization needs to be obtained from the Peninsula Township Board and the Michigan Historic Preservation Network.
